Atlanta, Georgia – Pritchard & Jerden, Inc., a private and independently-owned Insurance and Risk Management services firm, is pleased to recognize Barbara DeMarco Williams, CPCU as the 2009-2010 President for the Atlanta Chapter of Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters (CPCU) Society.  Barbara has proudly served on the CPCU Atlanta Chapter Board for the last three years and was inducted as Chapter President on May 12, 2009.  Barbara joined Pritchard & Jerden in 2003 as Claims Manager.

Founded in 1944, the CPCU Society is a community of credentialed property and
casualty insurance professionals who promote excellence through ethical behavior and continuing education.

More than 28,000 members of The Society hold the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation,
which requires passing rigorous undergraduate- and graduate-level examinations, satisfying experience requirements, and pledging to be bound by a strict code of professional ethics.
